Get the right fit for your walking stick.

1. Put on your usual walking shoes.

2. Stand in a naturally upright position with your feet about 12" apart.

3. Let your arms fall to the side naturally.

4. Using a tape measure or yard stick, have a second person measure the distance from the wrist bone down to the floor.

5. This measurement is "cane length", the length for a person transfering a significant portion of their weight to the stick. A walking stick SHOULD NEVER BE SHORTER THAN CANE LENGTH.

6. Depending on your age, health, and height you add 1"-3" to "cane length" for your walking stick. The younger, healthier, and taller you are the more you add.
